You might know me as the former co host of Anesthesia Deconstructed or perhaps from my national CRNA advocacy or as Chief Growth Officer at Guide Anesthesia. Or you might not know me at all and you're going to find out that I have a problem and I think you have this problem too. No one told us in our programs that being a great clinician is not the whole job.
Joe Rodriguez (0:50): The stuff that moves our career, the money, the politics, the leverage, how deals really work, You only pick those things up at dinner behind closed doors if you're lucky. And every podcast in our field, while there's a lot of good ones out there, they focus on the more polite side of things or it's just clinical or it's just it's not the heavy things that we really want to know. It can feel boring. And so many of us were fed up with waiting for someone else to share these conversations. So welcome to About the Rest.
Joe Rodriguez (1:21): This is a show I think we all need and obviously it's the one that I wanted. So join me twice a month for a round table chat with industry professionals where we really hash out the business, how to be a high performer, and the leadership that's required to succeed in this field. If it's in the public record, it's fair game for our discussions. Lawsuits, RFPs, policy fights, non compete, scope, supervision, all the things and the conversation that we normally only have off the record. And if you want to stop getting instead of being able to take control of your career, you should tune in because we're gonna get into these things.
